KATHMANDU, April 14: On the occasion of the New Year 2066 BS, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Tuesday expressed best wishes to all Nepali in and out of the country for the peace, progress and prosperity.
Stating that people´s support would be continued if the peace process is reached to logical end and constitution written within stipulated time as per the interim constitution, President Dr Yadav said a process to set up modern democratic system should be initiated by strengthening political, social, judicial and security institutions. Nepali people belonging to diverse culture, caste and community from mountain, hills and Tarai/Madhes and our entire Nepal, gone through various ups and downs in course of history, are competent enough to chart their future golden, protecting national integrity and sovereignty, President Dr Yadav said.
He also focused on keeping intact the social, ethnic and regional unity and integrity existing for long.
Similarly, on the same occasion, Vice-President Paramananda Jha extended greetings to all Nepali people wishing for good health, wealth and prosperity.
The need at present is to forge ahead with consensus and cooperation and to write new constitution within time, he added.
Likewise, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal expressed greetings to all Nepali brothers and sisters in and out of the country wishing for the building of New Nepal.
The year 2065 BS remained challenging and historic from various perspectives, he said, adding, the year recorded the proclamation of republic, putting an end to century-long monarchy which is the epoch-making event resulted from the sacrifice of thousands of Nepali people.
In the message, the PM stressed on the cooperation and consensus among the political parties to materialize the dream of New Nepal, making new constitution which would address the aspiration of all Nepali people.
