3 killed in separate road accidents

CHITWAN, Aug 25: Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Chitwan and Siraha districts on Saturday. Two persons were killed when a truck collided with a jeep in Darchek VDC-3 of Chitwan on Saturday morning. The dead have been identified as Krishna Baral, 22, of Sunwal and Prakash Thapa, 18, of Jahada in Nawalparasi.Both Baral and Thapawere in the jeep (Lu. 1 Cha 4293), which was carrying roosters from Chitwan to Kathmandu.



Prakash Thapa, 18, of Bardaghat, Nawalparasi, sustained injuries and has been admitted to Bharatpur Medical College, according to District Police Office of Chitwan. However, no one in the truck (Na. 3 Kha 620) was injured.[break]



Similarly, according to Republica correspondent Mithilesh Yadav, a motorcyclist died after being hit by a bus in Lahan municipality-3 of Siraha on Saturday. The dead has been identified as Ram Prakash Thakur, 30, of Kalyanpur VDC in Saptari district. The bus (Ba. 2 Kha 3064) hit Thakur´s motorcycle (Sa. 3 Pa 1881) when it went out of control after colliding with another motorcycle (Ko. 1 Pa 400) along the East West Highway.
