Two killed in separate road accidents

DHULIKHEL, Jan 1: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in the last 24 hours in Kavrepalanchok, police said. 


Fulmaya Tamang, 37, of Namobuddha Municipality-1 succumbed to the injuries at Dhulikhel Hospital. She was brought to the hospital after she was knocked down by a bus while disembarking it. The incident happened at Patlekhet of Dhulikhel Municipality-11 on Sunday evening. She died this morning. She was knocked by the bus (registration number Ba 3 Kha 5955) heading towards Okhaldhunga from Kathmandu.

Similarly, 23-year-old Binaya Deuja of Tikathali Municipality-4, Lalitpur, died after a Sumo jeep hit his motorcycle at Khawa, Paanchkhal Municipality-8 on Sunday. Deuja who had been admitted to the Dhulikhel Hospital after suffering fatal injuries in the accident on Sunday breathed his last today. 


Amita Acharya, 23, who was pillion riding on the motorcycle was injured in the incident and she is undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Community Hospital at Dhulikhel. 


Police have impounded both vehicles involved in the accident and their drivers for necessary action. RSS
