The deceased are said to be the jeep driver, identified as Rajan Rai, and two passengers. They died while undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Jhapa.
The accident took place when a bus (Na 4 Kha 6120) heading to Jamunkhadi of Jhapa from Ilam district headquarters for picnic collided with the jeep (Ra 1 Ja 166) coming from the opposite direction, the police said.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Kankai and Budhabare-based hospitals, according to DSP Bishnu KC.
