Police said that the ambulance veered off the road and plunged some 100 meters from the road. [break]
The ambulance was carrying Bishnu Shrestha of Pardi, Gorkha and his relatives. Shrestha who fainted nearby a canal in his village was being taken to Pokhara for treatment.
The deceased are identified as Lila Bahadur Shrestha (45) and Gopi Lal Shrestha of Bungkot-1 and Prem Shrestha (35) of Chapthok-6 of Gorkha district, police said.
Meanwhile the injured are receiving treatment at Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital and Bharatpur Hospital.
