The bus was traveling from east to west while the truck was traveling east from Narayanghat.
According to the police, Kali Bahadur Chepang (55) of Kathar VDC-1, Raj Kumar Chaudhary (36) of Khairhani VDC 2, and Bipin Gurung (14) of Birendranagar are among the deceased. While Gurung passed away in the hospital while undergoing treatment, Chaudhary, who was driving the bus, and Chepang passed away on the way to the hospital.
Three among the critically injured are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Medical College while one is being treated at Chitwan Medical College along with ten others who suffered minor injuries.
Three buried to death
Three people died in Rautahat Monday morning after being buried under a mass of soil. The three were digging mud along the banks of Chandikhola at Bisrampur-8 to paint their houses when the accident happened. Rautahat police said those killed are Khayaru Mukhiya, 18, of Ramoli-7, his brother Ram Bikesh, 12, and 40-year-old Magani Raut, also of Ramoli-7.
They had left home at 7 am and traveled to the riverbanks about a kilometer from their village. All three died on the spot. Before this, on May 22, four children died in Baukatole, Parsa, after being buried under a soil mass.
