The injured policeman, Ganesh Khatri, was on duty at the time. His right leg has been injured in the blast caused by sutali bomb, a kind of improvised explosive device (IED).
Khatri is undergoing treatment at Narayani Sub-regional Hospital, Birgunj.
No on has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
