Altogether 18 A-Division clubs will compete in the league which will be held at the Dasharath Stadium. [break]
Six new teams have been included in the league this season while Sankata Club and Boys Union Club have been relegated to the B-Division. Nepal Police Club are the league champions of the last edition.
The winner of the league will bag a purse of Rs 2 million. The proceeds collected from the sale of tickets during the league will be distributed among the clubs and ANFA. The clubs will receive 80 percent of the amount while 20 percent will by used by ANFA for the management of the league.
The clubs are entitled to sell seasonal tickets and will be eligible to retain 80 percent of the amount collected by them, states a press release of ANFA on Tuesday.
The meeting also unanimously decided to amend the tournament regulations proposed by ANFA.
The league´s schedule will be drawn on Friday.
Meanwhile, the meeting also decided to award Rs 50,000 each for the members and coaches of the national football team for finishing second in the AFC Challenge Cup group D qualifiers that concluded on Monday to advance into the final round.
ANFA has also pledged to raise more funds for the national team from the government, sports enthusiasts and other sector.
