Associate Professor Toyanath Lamichhane, who has written a research paper on the novel, said Chapain’s novel has added a new dimension to Nepali literature. [break]
He further added that the novel addresses the stories of the repressed in the society and praises the writer for his use of simple language.
Novelist Sarubhakta, who was also present on the occasion, agreed with Lamichhane and added that the writer has broken the usual traditions of novel writing in Nepali literature.
“There are very few novels I have read written with such simplicity and such effectiveness,” said Dr Krishnachandra Sharma.
President of the readers society Rajendra Chapagain expressed that the novel had left a huge impact on Pokhareli readers and they couldn’t help discussing about it.
Writer Chapain, happy at the response of the audience, remarked that as a writer, the discussion about his book by intellectuals inspired him a lot.
