KATHMANDU, March 1: Police have taken as many as 27 people under control for misbehaving with commuters during the Holi festival in the capital.
According to SSP Bishwo Pokharel of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, they have taken 20 people under control from Kalimati, two from Gongabu and five from Bafal areas.
The arrested will be charged under Public Offense Act.
Security personnel have been deployed in 106 places including 20 mobile teams so as not to let any untoward incidents happen, said MPRO.
Similarly, police have taken 130 vehicles under control for breaching traffic rules. Those arrested were found driving under the influence of alcohol, carrying more than legally allowed and without licenses.
