10,000 people to learn Marxism

KATHMANDU, September 3: Karl Marx Centenary Organization Committee has decided to educate Marxism to 10,000 people.

CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal informed about the decision during the closing ceremony of the five-day Karl Marx National School at Dhulikhel on Saturday. 

As many as 350 youths representing UML, CPN (Maoist Center), Rastriya Janamorcha and some independents were taught about political ideology by politicians and the experts. The participants discussed about globalization, Belt and Road Initiative of China, tri-lateral cooperation between Nepal, China and India, Marx's dialectical materialism and other issues. 

Bijay Paudel of the organizing committee informed that the school will instruct new generations about the Marxist thought, its seven decades long experience in Nepal to commemorate bicentenary of Marx's birth. 

During the interaction in Dhulikhel, senior communist leaders Mohan Bikram Singh, Bam Dev Gautam, Nepali Congress leader Pradip Giri and sociologist Chaitanya Mishra among others highlighted Marx's contribution to the society. 

Bhusal opined that bringing the leaders of communist parties with diverse ideologies together itself was a matter of great importance. Ram Karki of the Maoist Centre said that differences and problems can be settled in an easy way while viewing it from Marx's school of thought.
