Rajesh Agrawal, proprietor of the factor, told Republica that they would start clinker production within three weeks. “We will start operations within three weeks after completing remaining works,” he said.[break]
The factory will produce 1,000 tons of clinker per day, which is sufficient to meet 50 percent clinker demands of eight local cement factories. It has installed plants with Rotary, Automatic and PLC system of production to produce better quality of clinker. The factory will source limestone - a major raw material for clinker - from Dobhan of Palpa and Narapani of Arghakhanchi.
Jagadamba, Bridge, Siddhartha, Ambe, Agni, Supreme, Nepal Ambuja and Reliance cement produced in the district have so far been importing clinker from India.
Only two state-owned entities - Hetauda Cement Factory and Udaypur Cement Factory - and Maruti Cement have their own clinker plant.
Agrawal said they have plans to increase production to 2,000 tons of clinkers a day in the near future.
