Speaking at a function in the capital, Tharu said, “Plain-clothed police personnel arrested me from a road at Anamnagar and forcibly took me to the guest house in an attempt to assassinate my character by imposing fake charges on me.”
Terming his arrest as an attempt thwart the ongoing revolution of indigenous community, Tharu said if he had really committed any wrongdoing the government would not have released him so soon.
Tharu also came down heavily on media reports published in national dailies that said he was caught in a compromising position with Radhika Thapa Magar from Dolakha.
“I urge the concerned media outlets to prove their claims or correct their mistakes,” Tharu said.
He also warned that the writers who fail to prove their claim would be presented before the “party´s court”. Tharu was arrested on October 10 and released on Tuesday.
