KATHMANDU, Jan 21: The total number of journalists registered with the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bagmati Province who have contracted COVID-19 has reached 230.
The infected journalists include former FNJ chairpersons, Tara Nath Dahal, Shiva Gaule and Mahendra Bista, two central members and outgoing chairperson, office bearers of the provincial committee and a dozen chairpersons of the provincial branches.
The infection cases were preliminary information, said the FNJ provincial chair Bal Krishna Adhikari, adding that details about infected journalists from some FNJ branches and media houses are yet to be received.
