UML district secretary defeated in race for Ward member

Solukhumbu, June 29: A Secretary of CPN-UML District Committee has lost the election in Solukhumbu district.
Harka Bahadur Rai who is a Secretary of UML District Committee in Solukhumbu district has lost the race for Ward member in Sotang Rural Municipality.
His nearest rival Nepali Congress candidate Ram Bahadur Basnet defeated him. Basnet secured 309 while Rai garnered 280 votes.
