Parsa education office padlocked

PARSA, Sept 10: Teachers on relief quotas in Parsa district, who have been staging sit-in for 80 days, have locked the officials of the District Education Office inside the office room by demanding salaries among others.



Coordinator of the relief teachers´ struggle committee Shyam Ghimire said they were compelled to do so after their demands were not met despite frequent assurance from the District Education Officer Kedar Tiwari.



Similarly, the main gate of the District Development Committee, Parsa, has been padlocked for indefinitely. Officials of the local development fund padlocked the gate saying the DDC was violating the directives of the Ministry of the Local Development.
