TAPLEJUNG, June 5: Transportation along the Mechni highway has been disrupted following a landslide near the Khokse river at Dokhu area of Phuling Municipality.
The landslide was triggered by last night's downpour which has blocked vehicles heading out of Taplejung to different destinations. The road stretch has completely been blanketed with the landslide debris.
Meanwhile, another landslide has cascaded down from Dhuseni hill, according to District Police Office, Taplejung.
The Phuling Municipality is set to dispatch excavators to both the locations to remove the landslide debris, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ram Bahadur KC. RSS
