KATHMANDU, April 7: A person has been arrested on the charge of unauthorized access to the server of the Nepalese Army. The arrested person has been identified as Sagar Dhakal, 21, of Waling Municipality-10 in Syangja district.
He is a third-year undergraduate student at Western Engineering College. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Navin Aryal of Nepal Police's Cyber Bureau said that the arrested Dhakal, who lives in a rented room in Batulechaur, had gained unauthorized access to the army's server using the internet of the house owner.

"We started the investigation based on the information given by the Nepalese Army saying that someone had gained unauthorized access to its cyber space," Aryal said, "In the meantime, based on technical analysis and human intelligence, we arrested the person involved in this work from home."
According to the police, it is not clear whether the arrested Dhakal had access to the details of the army or for what purpose he hacked the army's server.
"The detailed investigation has just started," says SSP Aryal.
