21 Nepali students rescued from Kyrgyzstan

KATHMANDU, June 25: Twenty-one Nepali students, who were stranded in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, following the recent ethnic clashes in Osh and Jalal Abad were rescued on Friday.



They were brought to New Delhi, India, safely on Friday morning. The government has borne the cost of their air travel from Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.



Of them, six have been sent to Kathmandu, whereas the others will be sent home soon, according to Nepali Embassy in New Delhi.
