Making public the report of seven diarrhea death toll in Nepalgunj of Banke, the parliamentary committee issued such directives to manage the budget separately for controlling the epidemic.
The report said 70,000 people in Nepalgunj Municipality were at risk as the drinking water supply was polluted following mixing of drainage and excessive presence of Coliform.
A team of seven lawmakers led by committee’s chair Sandhya Devi had monitored the situation in the area.
The committee has also given directions to the ministry to hire the necessary human resources on contract basis at the earliest for taking preventive measures.
The committee has suggested the government for necessary management to control such epidemics that generally occur during May-September.
