Orphaned girl gets support

NEPALGUNJ, July 22: Seven-year-old Pratibha Rokaya, who was lost her parents in a recent flood in Lha-5, Dolpa, has found an organization that has agreed to pay her tuition fee, apart from books, stationery, and school uniform.



Ten members of her family were killed in the flood on Monday.



The Poor Children Education Support Program announced its support for Pratibha on Thursday.



The program´s founder Usha Acharya said she took the decision after she came to know about Pratibha´s plight from Republica and Nagarik dailies.



The program has announced its support to Pratibha till she completes twelfth grade. Pratibha is an LKG student at Moontara School in Rajha, Nepalgunj.
