LV commander arrested over abduction

SANICHARE, July 19: Police have arrested Kismat Shrestha, an assistant field commander of Limbuwan Volunteers (LV), the paramilitary wing of the Federal Limbuwan State Council, on the charge of abduction on Sunday evening.



Shrestha, a resident of Charpane-1, was arrested from Anarmani, according to Police Inspector at Anarmani Police Post Surendra Sitaula.



A group of 15 to 16 people including Shrestha had abducted Anmol Oli, 20, and Bhogendra Oli, 18, from their house in Anarmani-3 on July 10. The duo was released after four days in captivity.



Police said the search for others involved in the abduction has been intensified.
