ROLPA, Oct 16: As many as 20 policemen have been subjected to departmental actions in Rolpa, said District Police Office (DPO), Rolpa.
Among the police officials, 2 were given strict warnings, 14 subjected to strict instructions whereas salaries of three policemen were put on hold and one suspended from duty, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ram Prasad Gharti Magar said.
The policemen fell under the departmental action for indiscipline, dereliction of duty and inebriation.
Meanwhile, two police officers were conferred regional level awards. In order to make the police staff accountable and for encouraging them, the provision for punishment and reward has been introduced with renewed commitment for strict compliance with the new arrangement, DPO, Rolpa said.
There are a total of 382 police personnel on duty in the district which has an official status for employing 606 police personnel. RSS
