KATHMANDU, June 23: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday arrested two section officers with Rs 500,000 bribe in the Banke district.

The anti-graft body caught Investigation Officer Bhim Ghimire and Computer Officer Govinda Bahadur Shahi of Banke district red-handed while they were receiving Rs 570,000 in bribe.
Acting on a tip-off that Ghimire and Shahi were demanding bribe from the service seekers promising them to fix VAT bills and the other tax-related documents, the anti-graft body deployed from Kohalpur detained them.
