Basanta Thakur and his son Sonu, residents of local Chhinnamasta VDC-6 had been arrested after they beat up 36-year-old Shyamadevi Rajak from the same locality for ´pollutting´ a public tube well.[break]
Police lodged cases against the father and son duo under the Racial Discrimination and Untouchability Crime and Punishment Act, 2011.
