GORKHA, Sept 8: Police have arrested two men in possession of 10 kilograms of gold from Chumanubri rural municipality-3, Sirdibas on Saturday.
The arrested are Mutup Lama, 58, and Lopchan Tenbe of the same rural municipality.

“Two people were arrested with 10 kilograms of gold during a regular security check at 4 pm today by Sirdibas Police Post,” said DSP Mahendra Nepal of Gorkha.
Lama and Tenbe were heading to Kathmandu via Chhekampar, Sirdibas and Arughat.
Preparations are underway to handover them to the District Police Office, Gorkha by Monday.
Sirdibas is two days walk from Gorkha district headquarters. Police presume that Lama and Tenbe could have smuggled gold from Tibet to Nepal as they were coming from Chhekampar of Chumanubri rural municipality that borders with Tibet.
