POKHARA, Dec 27: Pokhara is all set to welcome the English New Year and bid a farewell to 2017 through its 19th street festival. The festival, starting from Dec 28, 2017, aims to draw 500, 000 Nepali tourists into the Lakeside, organizers Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) said.

To welcome tourists and the New Year, the Lakeside, its hotels and restaurants have been decorated with ribbons, flyers and banners. The excitement is such that almost each hotel has been booked and entrepreneurs opined that finding a room in last moment would be extremely tough. While the city is planning to bring 500,000 internal tourists, the hotels at Lakeside have only 22,000 rooms.
