The arrested is Birendra Khang of Rayapur-1. A special team from the police arrested Khang from his village. Police also recovered a custom-made pistol and two bullets from him, Inspector Bhuvaneshwar Sah at Area Police Office, Saptari said. [break]
Sah added that Khang was involved in various criminal activities and was the mastermind behind the abduction of schoolboy Sushant Singh and Akash Singh from Rajbiraj two weeks ago. Khang admitted his hand in the abduction of CA member Ramani Devi Ram’s husband Bhola Ram from Rajbiraj three days ago, Sah said.
Police said Khang is not associated with any Tarai-based armed groups and has been running a racket for abduction, extortion and other criminal activities.
