Leaders vow to clear the air

KATHMANDU, June 23
: Following a meeting at Constituent Assembly (CA) building on Wednesday, the big three parties--Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN UML--vowed to intensify the constitution drafting process at the earliest.



According to Constituent Assembly (CA) chairman Subash Nembang who initiated the meeting the parties expressed their commitments to move ahead resolving all the contentious issues on the constitution drafting process.[break]



Nembang also said that the meeting basically focused on drafting the new constitution within the extended time frame of a year from May 28.



The leaders also decided to resolve the differences by forming a state restructuring committee and calendar of events, Maoist leader Posta Bahadur Bogati said.



Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, NC parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel and UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal, among others, were present in the meeting.
