Fifteen personnel including six of Nepal Police and nine of Armed Police deployed in the Link Gate entering Nepal are facing action. They did not check and did not give any information and have been charged with negligence. The errant policemen have been recalled to District Police Office and sought clarification including from Assistant Police Inspector Rana Bahadur Kunwar. Action has been forwarded by inquiring them, said SP Sharad Chand.
Nine of the Armed Security Base Camp of Krishnanagar including one Assistant Police Inspector are also facing action. They have also been recalled to Armed Police Border Office, Taulihawa.
Action ha been taken against them as there was negligence, said Armed Police SP Harka Bahadur Rawal.
Indian minister’s UP 50 T 488400 with 11 security men had entered Nepal. Police administration was being criticized for the negligence.
This is not the first time an Indian official has entered Nepal without due permission. In the past, minister or parliamentarian or even armed policemen had entered Nepal illegally and subsequently arrested.
