18 DCCs directed to update center about arrears clearance status

KATHMANDU, July 7:The Ministry for Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed the 18 District Coordination Committees (DCCs) to update the status of arrears clearance to the center.

KATHMANDU, July 7:The Ministry for Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed the 18 District Coordination Committees (DCCs) to update the status of arrears clearance to the center.


According to Ministry's section officer Shekhar Nidhi Poudyal, the then 18 District Development Committees (now DCCs) have not yet cleared the arrears of fiscal year 2069-70 BS.  The DDCs getting instructions are Banke, Kailali, Gulmi, Kalikot, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Dhading, Arghakhanchi, Rupandehi, Kathmandu, Mugu, Surkhet, Dhanusha, Udaypur, Sankhuwasabha, Mahottari, Dailekh and Jajarkot.

 The expenditure of then 18 DDCs without bills was calculated at Rs 173 million and the Auditor General's 50thy annual report of fiscal year 2069-70 BS had mentioned about it. They have been asked to detail the headings under which the budget had been spent and the clearance status, Poudyal said.
