DHARAN, June 2: A total of 18 coronavirus (COVID-19) patients were discharged from BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan after their recovery on Monday night.
The recovered patients include a female from Dharan in Sunsari district and 17 others from Jhapa district. They were discharged after they were tested negative for this fatal virus in the two consecutive tests.
Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Tilak Rai, BPKIHS Director Dr Bikash Shah, Assistant Director Dr Indra Limbu and focal persons were among those present to see them off.
A COVID-19 survivor Ayub Miya from Kachan Kawal Rural Municipality in Jhapa district said their stay at the hospital was memorable. While thanking the government, hospital administration and the medical professionals involved in their treatment, he offered a donation of Rs 1,600 to the government.
