17 city roads to be upgraded in Ilam

ILAM, Feb 17: Eastern Road Division Office, Ilam has started opening track and upgrading 17 city roads at the same time in the current fiscal year 2016/17. 

A total of Rs 7.14 million budget has been allocated for the same, according to the office. 

Office Chief and Divisional Engineer Shivalal Dahal said that city roads of Ilam Municipality, road section from Maipokhari-Satkhalte, Phikkal bazaar road, road from Sandakpur-Kalpokhari, Aeitabare bazaar broad, amomg others are the road going to be upgraded. 

Similarly, works have been started to complete the black topping of the remaining part of the road section from Chhiruwa to Bhanjyang of Phikkal Antudanda road section. 

A total of Rs 51.89 million budget has been allocated from Office of Road Division for the same. 

Meanwhile, a new building of the District Education Office, Ilam, has been constructed at a cost of Rs 12.9 million. The building has 14-rooms. 

District Education officer Tanka Prasad Gautam and Local Development Officer, Dhurba Bahadur Khadka, jointly inaugurated the building on Thursday. RSS
