Army to probe Sohrakhutte case

KATHMANDU, April 19: Nepal Army (NA) on Monday formed a taskforce to probe into news report published by different newspapers which said that around 60 NA personnel picketed Metropolitan Police Sector, Sohrakhutte on Sunday.



Issuing a press statement on Monday, NA has has expressed deep concern over the news reports which said around 60 Nepal Army personnel from Ranger Battalion on Sunday morning picketed the police office for over 15 minutes apparently to threaten police personnel serving there for arresting a few army men in inebriated state fro Thamel a few days ago. [break]



They had also verbally threatened the policemen.
