Journalism awards to Bhandari, Shyamal

KATHMANDU, April 18: Press Chautari Nepal has decided to award journalist Chandra Bhandari with the Hridaya Singh Pradhan Journalism Award established this year in memory of the late progressive writer Pradhan.



Bhandari, a former general secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists, is chairman of Kanchanjungha FM in Jhapa. The award carries a purse of Rs 11,111.



Likewise, it decided to award Agnishikha Memorial Journalism Award to litterateur and columnist Shyamal. The award also carries a purse of Rs 11,111.



Similarly, it decided to award youth journalist Amrit Baskune with the Birendra Sah Youth Working Journalist Award.
