President of the Federation, Taj Mohammad Miyan said a ‘call attention’ assembly would be organized on May 3, 2010 at Bahadurganj in Kapilbastu from where the agitation programmes would be announced. The agitation movement will be undertaken in different phases.[break]
Under the programme, the Federation will hold large public awareness rallies and pressure programmes in all the zones and hold the Muslim awareness campaign throughout the country in May.
The Federation said the right to social justice has been misinterpreted in the preliminary draft report of the Constituent Assembly’s thematic committee on fundamental rights and principles and Islam has been undermined due to that provision. The Federation has called for making correction in that provision.
National Muslim Federation organized a press conference here on Monday to announce the agitation movement.
