BHAKTAPUR, Aug 11: Sixteen passengers have been injured in a bus mishap at Gatthaghar of Madhyapurthimi municipality today.

A bus (Ba 4 Kha 5794) heading to Sindhuli from Kathmandu hit three other buses heading to the same direction, resulting in injury to 16 passengers in it.

Three other buses hit by the Sindhuli bound bus have the number plates as Ba 3 Kha 7093, Ba 5 Kha 4029 and Na 6 Kha 7185. Among the injured ones, 13 are receiving treatment at local Nagarik Hospital and three others at Madhyapur Hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Nepal Police, Rewati Raman Pokhrel, from Metropolitan Police Premises, Bhaktapur.

All four buses have been impounded for investigation. Driver of the Sindhuli bound bus, Dipak Raj Thakuri, 30, has been taken under control. Thakuri living at Tahachal, Kathmandu is originally from Golanchaur rural municipality-6 of Sindhuli district.
