Speaking at the launching ceremony, Spencer Low, senior manager of Sony at Singapore, hoped that Nepal´s photography sector would make remarkable progress with the launch of the new range of Sony DSLRs.

Ramesh Bista, director-operations of Nepa Hima, said the new cameras are designed to overcome challenges faced by users who are using DSLRs for the first time. “We have brought around 30 units of the five models, except Alpha 900,” Bista told myrepublica.com, adding that Alpha 900 - which costs around Rs 300,000 -- can be delivered only after receiving orders.

Through these cameras, the users do not have to compromise with performance, versatility and warranty. These DSLRs come with a year´s warranty. Along with the new cameras, the company has introduced photography training on the purchase of any models. The new cameras are compact, light in weight and are easy to use, according to the company.

Loaded with new features, the new entrant high-resolution cameras are simple to operate, offering quick auto focus live technology. Using the ´Live View´ function, users can also frame their shots on the camera´s LCD screen.

Sony also offers a standard Alpha series 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 kit lens with most the cameras while a option upgrade in Alpha 330 and Alpha 230 also provides an additional Alpha series 75-300mm F4.5-5.6 lens.
