CHAUTARA, July 6: The swollen Bhotekoshi River of Sindhupalchowk on Tuesday night has swept away 20 concrete houses and has put 200 houses at high risk.
Police Inspector at the Border Police Office, Larcha, Khumlal Bhusal, said that some 200 houses from Daskilo of Tatopani VDC to Liphing of Larcha are at high risk due to river eroding.
The river has eroded some 50 metres road at Kodari along the Araniko highway. The flood has swept away Tatopani-based Mansarobar Boarding School and embankment of Upper Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project at Daskilo, according to the Police Office.
Barhabise-Tatopani road section has remained disrupted due to floods and mud slip. The floods also swept away canteen and two tippers of Tatopani Customs Office. RSS
