BIRATNAGAR, April 17: Tensions have risen in Biratnagar following a clash between two communities during a rally organized by the Nepali Yuwa Bibhag of World Hindu Council on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15, where youths from both communities reportedly engaged in pelting stones at each other.
In response to the escalating situation, a large number of police personnel were deployed to the area. They resorted to using tear gas shells to contain the violent crowd.
