BUSINESS BRIEFS: New hatchback of Lifan in market

KATHMANDU, Mar 10: Constant Business Group has launched a new hatchback car of Chinese automaker Lifan in the market. The 1300 cc car is as per the requirement of Nepalese people in regard of its ground clearance.



The new car has power steering, power window, power mirror and AC, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. [break]



This new car is available at a very competitive price of Rs 1,475,000.



Interested people can observe the vehicle at the company´s showroom in Lazimpat, the statement added. The company has already arranged service center and spare parts for Lifan customers.





Fujitsu launches new laptops



KATHMANDU, Mar 10: Fujitsu has released LifeBook SH760, SH560, S710, LH700 and LH530 in the market. The SH760, SH560 and S710 models are tailored for executives or travelers seeking mobility and functionality, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.



The LH700 and LH530 cater to young adults and are quipped with newly-refreshed Intel® processor technology. "Fujitsu builds notebooks that cater specifically to the needs of our target users," Lim Teck Sin, director-product marketing, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific, said in a press release.



Fujitsu LifeBook SH760, SH560 and S710 possess user-friendly features, functionality and mobility to be your personal companion, subsequently bringing ultimate convenience to your doorstep, the release added.





Kuber Merchant opens new branch



KATHMANDU, Mar 10: Kuber Merchant Finance opened its new branch in Kumaripati of Lalitpur on Wednesday.



President of Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mrigendra Man Pradhan inaugurated the branch. With the new branch, the company now has a network of four branches.



Established about four years ago, the company has mobilized deposits of Rs 770 million and issued loans of Rs 780 million, says a press release, adding that the company is presently providing interest return of as much as 9.5 percent on savings deposit and 12.25 percent per annum on fixed deposits.





Global Bank opens Dhangadhi branch



KATHMANDU, Mar 10: Global Bank Ltd formally inaugurated its branch in Dhangadhi on Wednesday.



Chairman of the bank Chandra Prasad Dhakal inaugurated the branch amid a function. According to a press release, the branch will provide all modern banking facilities to the customers.



Deputy General Manager of the bank Janak Sharma Paudel highlighted the technical strength and services provided by the bank like 365 days banking, evening counter, locker facility, free SMS and internet banking and global debit card, among others.



The release added that the bank has so far mobilized deposits of Rs 13.61 billion and issued loans of Rs 12.29 billion, earning an operating profit of Rs 227.80 million.





Jyoti BIkash Bank in Morang



KATHMANDU, Mar 10: Jyoti Bikash Bank opened its 10th branch in Pathari of Morang on Wednesday.



Board of Director of the bank Hari Prasad Acharya inaugurated the branch amid a function, according to a press statement issued on Wednesday. Chief Executive Officer of the bank Jhalak Prasad Khanal announced that the bank was soon opening a new branch in Saraswotinagar in Kathmandu.



The development bank had recently launched Divya Jyoti Savings, which can be opened with minimum balance of Rs 100, and Super Premium Savings on which the bank has promised an interest return of 8.5 percent per annum.



The bank has also formed a technical team to provide technical services to the bank to support the development of hydropower and power generation, the statement added.
