14 passengers injured as bus en route from Pokhara to Surkhet crashes in Dang

POKHARA, Oct 2: A passenger bus with registration number Ga 1 Kha 8485, en route from Pokhara to Surkhet, veered off the road, resulting in injuries to 14 passengers. The accident occurred at 5 AM today near the Babaisota bridge in Lamhi-4 Ban village, situated along the East West Highway.

POKHARA, Oct 2: A passenger bus with registration number Ga 1 Kha 8485, en route from Pokhara to Surkhet, veered off the road, resulting in injuries to 14 passengers. The accident occurred at 5 AM today near the Babaisota bridge in Lamhi-4 Ban village, situated along the East West Highway.


According to DSP Janak Bahadur Malla at the District Police Office Dang, the bus lost control and plunged approximately 10 meters below the roadway, causing the unfortunate mishap.

The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at Lamhi Hospital. The authorities have taken the driver, identified as 33-year-old Ramkrishna Khadka from Sunapati Rural Municipality-3 in Ramechhap, into custody pending further investigation.


Initial reports suggest that there were 16 passengers aboard the ill-fated bus at the time of the accident.
