POKHARA, May 31: According to the police, 14 houses and two temples were partially damaged by a windstorm in Rupa Rural Municipality of Kaski.
On May 30, an evening storm accompanied by rain caused the damage. Fortunately, no human or animal casualties were reported.
All houses look similar in Sindhuli after reconstruction
Kaski Police reported that the windstorm damaged the houses of Nar Maya Gurung from Ward-1, Som Bahadur Khadka from Chapdanda in Ward-2, Harka Bahadur Gurung from Majhkot, Chija Maya Gurung, Kasila Gurung, Pratik Adhikari, Ganga Gurung, and Raj Kumar Tamang from Jamune in Ward-6 of Rupa Rural Municipality.
Additionally, the homes of Abbas Ali Mia, Abdul Mia, Razina Mia, Maimun Mia, Lailatan Mia, Krishna Bahadur Thapa, Tasbiran Mia, and Janki Gurung in Bhirchowk were also affected by the storm.
The storm also blew off the roofs of the Kot temple in Chisapani and the Kul temple in Thapa village, as per police reports.
