Gyanu Regmi, 30, was found dead at his hostel some 90 km from the capital Seoul.
Suresh Limbu, an official at the Nepali Embassy in Seoul, quoted Korean police as saying that Regmi hanged himself using a bed cover at 6 p.m. local time.
He lived with three other Nepalis in the room.
