He was scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Alau-Birgunj integrated checkpost. The checkpost is being built at a cost of Rs 2 billion as per an understanding reached during Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal´s visit to India lately.
A huge number of administrative staff and some 300 security personnel were mobilized for the function.
