KATHMANDU, August 18: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to forward the unification process with the CPN (Maoist Center).
The party's Secretariat Meeting held on Wednesday took a policy decision towards that end, said the party's General Secretary Dr Beduram Bhusal. Accordingly, the meeting decided to form a committee to coordinate the unity process.
The Maoist Center has already decided on its part to unite with the Unified Socialist. The Unified Socialist was formed last year after breaking away from the CPN-UML. The party will also observe its first anniversary on August 25.
