KATHMANDU, August 17: Vehicles carrying garbage from Kathmandu have reached Sisdol. According to Naveen Manandhar, the spokesperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, preparations for the disposal of waste are being made by deploying police personnel in the Banchare Danda landfill site.
He said, “Without police support, it is difficult to deliver the garbage trucks to Banchare Danda. We are preparing to mobilize a large number of police personnel. Then we will send the garbage trucks to Banchare Danda.”
However, the residents of Banchare Danda are preparing to block the garbage disposal even today. They are protesting that their demands have not been met.
