KATHMANDU, May 30: Thirteen more patients have been discharged from various hospitals across the country after recovery on Saturday. With this, the total number of recovered patients in Nepal has reached 219.
Dr Bikash Devekota, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population informed the media that two COVID-19 patients (from Budanilkantha and Tokha) from the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory and 11 (nine from various districts currently living in Kathmandu and one each from Banke and Rukum) from Unified COVID-19 Hospital, Balambu have been discharged.

As of today, 66,729 Polymerase Chain Reaction tests (PCR) have been conducted across the nation including 2,575 (PCR) tests in the last 24 hours. Also, 1, 07,055 Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) have been conducted across the nation including 1, 577 tests in the last 24 hours.
Among the 219 individuals who have recovered ( 172 males and 46 females), 30 are from Province 1, 104 from Province 2, 28 from Bagmati Province, three from Gandaki Province, 28 from Province 5 and six from Far Western Province.
The Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday confirmed 189 new cases of COVID-19 taking the national COVID-19 tally to 1,401.
