13 missing in Phulchoki forest come in contact with police

LALITPUR, Dec 24: Thirteen people who were lost in Phulchoki forest have been located by the police.


Information officer of the District Police Office, Lalitpur, Superintendent of Police (SP) Navratna Poudel, said that the rescue of those who had lost their way in the forest has been underway since Monday afternoon. Thirteen missing people, from two different groups, contacted each other; rescue is underway.

Seven hikers went missing near Phulchoki after 3:30 pm, followed by another group of six. The two missing groups bumped into each other as they searched for the correct path. They are currently in contact with the police,” said SP Poudel.


He added that 10 young men and three young women had gone missing but they are now in contact.
