The money was sanctioned during DDC´s all-party meeting held on January 2. As per the understanding, Rs 50,000 was sanctioned for UML´s convention held on December 25-26 and Rs 25,000 for UCPN (Maoist) convention held last year.
Assistant-secretary of UCPN (Maoist) Bishal Khadka claimed the fund was not misused and said parties do not have any source of income so they run in this manner from the center down.
